I’m the owner & sole employee of Capitol Cakery (unless you count my husband – he doesn’t get paid for his work, but he has taken on the great sacrifice of quality assurance…aka taste testing, and he takes his job very seriously). I’ve been baking since I was about 12-years-old and am completely self-taught. I love looking for new baking techniques and decorating cakes, and it makes my day when my clients entrust me with their custom designs! I’m obsessed with baking shows like The Great British Baking Show, Food Network's Holiday Baking Championship, and the Kid's Baking Championship. At Capitol Cakery you'll always find a wide selection available - because all of my items are made to order! You'll never find I've run out of a certain sweet or that the treats you buy are stale, because I don't make them until you buy them! I always use the freshest ingredients available and buy local whenever possible so that you can taste the difference - decadent and homemade, just the way it should be.
